Courageous Conversations (Spanish)
Have you experienced conflicts that lead to separation and rupture within your interpersonal relationships and our social movements? Do you wish to integrate resources and tools that allow you to approach difficult conversations in a regenerative and affective way? Courageous conversations have a methodology of healing justice and trauma-informed, designed to address challenging situations effectively and safely. They are a resource that allows for cultivating a strong and connected community culture, and developing skills to process conflicts, misunderstandings, and behaviors that are not aligned with the agreements and expectations that take care of us. We offer you this resource that we use at CEPA and has worked for us as an organization and in our interpersonal relationships.
Decolonizing for Organizers
Inspired by the Taino medicine wheel, this curriculum was created to encourage a shift in organizing culture. In it you will find reflection exercises, games, case studies, dialogue questions and practices to support you on the journey to decolonize your world. While this curriculum centers Puerto Rico's story, it is an open invitation to anyone wanting to build long-term relationships of accountability, and replace competition with reciprocity to join us in the practice of decolonizing.
Portal de Práctica: Manual (Spanish)
Do you feel burned out and need tools to affirm yourself? Do you want to learn ways to sustain yourself and your community in these challenging times? Then, use this manual developed in conjunction with CEPA's practice portal and learn simple techniques that will help you to ground yourself, center yourself, and embrace yourself. Healing (is) justice, let's practice!
Solidarity is a Verb
This document is for all CEPA collaborators to reflect on what it means to be in solidarity across geographic locations, and positions. We’ve come to believe that solidarity requires deep practice. For us, solidarity is a verb that requires that we use our different levels of access and privilege to move towards co-liberation. This is a first effort to note the distinct rights and responsibilities for diaspora and island based Boris. We believe that this work will help us to promote healthy relationships between the multiple communities that make up Boriken. Our hope is that these words will help us to build bridges that allow us to be in reciprocal relationship cross-charco.
Declaration of language justice
The language we speak informs the way we perceive the world. We understand language justice as a healing and liberating tool necessary on the journey towards decolonization for various reasons. We want everyone to be able to communicate in the language that feels most comfortable to them using simultaneous interpretation when possible and creating community agreements regarding access needs when we gather to share.
Transformaría (Spanish)
This introduction to trauma healing was created as a supplementary guide for the practice space called "Transformaría: centering ourselves in our power," workshops centered on healing justice and decolonization that we carried out on the first anniversary of Hurricane María.
